Our university sits as part of several vibrant ecosystems: in Orange County–the heart of Southern California, as one of the distinguished Universities of California, among top American research universities, and as a leading academic medical center. Technology plays a major role in being able to collaborate and share data across these different ecosystems. It enables our deep domain experts to expand the boundaries of research and discovery, bringing what we do in the lab, and the experts who do it, to the world. The exchange of information, ideas, and resources has always been a key role of research institutions, and at UCI we are creating a model for today and the future to benefit both the university and the community.
